The stories in this blog are my personal experience.  I am simply sharing, for anyone curious, for an entertaining read, for finding my voice.

I am NOT telling you to float while you are pregnant. I am not a doctor or a scientist. I am an artist, a storyteller and a float enthusiast.

The stories I am sharing here are not meant to be advice.  At best, in my wildest dreams, it would be awesome to inspire clinical research.  It would be nice to have the data generated by large studies.  How much can floating reduce swelling during pregnancy? How much can it lower blood pressure? What about preventing pre-term births?  These are great questions.

My blog simply describes how floating made me a more comfortable pregnant lady. Simple as that.  Actually, that’s an understatement. Frankly I don’t know how I would have handled my pregnancy without my quality time in a sensory deprivation tank.  It’s my happy place.  Being pregnant was hard for me, very uncomfortable and scary, getting to float made it much more pleasant.

I was bound and determined to not let stress get the better of me.  The burden of anxiety is not something I hope to pass along to my child, in fact, I want to teach him how to manage the stress life throws his way.  I began this journey with floating my way through my pregnancy.
